Small changes in your eating habits can make a big difference in weight loss. By paying attention to the amount of food you eat, how often you eat and eliminating unnecessary sugar and fat from your foods you can make some changes that wont even seem like you're really doing anything different.
These tips are simple things you can do easily every day to have rapid weight loss that will stay off.
1. Keep track of everything you eat and drink. Don't forget the tastes, licks, and bites. It's amazing how much we eat without thinking. Don't worry about calories yet, just write down the amount of food or drink that you consume.
2. Plan your meals ahead of time. Last minute decisions can lead to unhealthy choices. You may also save money by planning and buying food ahead of time.
3. Cut your fat intake in half. That means half as much butter on your toast or vegetables. Only use half the amount of mayonnaise on your sandwiches. Cut down the amount of oil that you use when cooking. Reduce the fat level in your milk. If you use whole milk, change to 2%, if you use 1% now, change to skim.
4. Reduce your sugar intake. Limit your sugar treats to three times per week maximum. Find another way to reward or comfort yourself instead of sweets.
5. Eat protein at each meal. It is heavier and takes longer to digest. This makes you seem full longer. Include chicken, fish, peanuts, cottage cheese, eggs or yogurt.
